Re-establishing a natural 'connection'

"Imagine if trees gave off WiFi signals; we'd be planting so many trees we would probably save the planet".

Insight: plants can generate electricity

Powerplant is a speculative service design that aims to reconnect people to nature again, by incorporating the senses and re-establishing the intimacy between living organisms through technology.

Photosynthesis has been proven to produce electricity, in our futuristic scenario we speculate that this energy can be stored and used to power wi-fi throughout the city. Thereby stimulating people to not only go outside, but to also take care of the plants to produce a better wi-fi signal.
